It was finally time to change my rear tyre, so I took the wheel and new tyre in, got it done, took it back home, gave the rear end a good clean, greased all the bits that needed greasing, oiled the chain, etc etc, and put the wheel back on, got it all adjusted just so, and was putting the rear pegs on so I could take the missus for a spin when I noticed the guy had put the tyre on the wrong way around. ARGH!!!

I rode it back to the shop and was confronted by the sight of the entire swinging-arm and rear wheel, from the hub to under the edge of the tyre, covered in the chain-saw oil ("With special anti-fling additives!"). So having the rear wheel off again was a blessing in disguise.

The mechanic was suitably mortified, but as I get it done for free I couldn't moan too loudly.

Then we went to the beach for a swim. I'd just got in and got used to the water when I noticed stones flying closely past me. I look to the beach and there were four yoofs chucking stones at three little kids. I shouted at them and bugger me if they didn't take me under fire as well. One very large stone came right at my head, and if I hadn't ducked it would have hit me in the face. So next second there's me chasing four little scum-bags across a crowded beach. They must have thought they'd lost me because they went and sat in a large group of their mates (males & females) and started yucking it up, until they saw me coming for them again and legged it. Their mates denied knowing any of them of course, so after telling them to pass on a suitable message I returned to where I'd started, only to find one of the little kiddies they'd been targetting originally with an egg-sized lump and bruise on his skull. Un fecking believable. I offered to call the police for him but he was a tough little bugger and didn't want it.

So that was my afternoon. Laughing

Chain saw oil is designed to "fling" off.

Why would it be? Eh? to lubricate the chain... the oil need to stay on it

Sure, that's why it mentions on the bottle about it's "anti-fling additives". Rolling Eyes
