Help!
Recently fitted a new barrel and piston to my son's Aerox 50 (2004)

Bike starts and runs fine, but when revvved beyond 50% throttle, it dies back to tickover.

Pretty sure it is gonna be something silly... have even put the original barrel and piston back on, makes no difference!

So far, in addition to the above...have tried

Changing the fuel
Checking Fuel Tap
Different Carb
New Plug
Inspected Reed Valve - perfect condition

Running out of ideas, any thoughts welcomed - thanks

Guys, just managed to crack this problem ans wanted to say a huge thank you to those who tried and in fact did help me along the way.

I knew it was goibng to be something silly.... and it was!

All of the testing I had done was withouit putting the bike fully back together i.e without putting the air box back on. Turns out all it was that without the air filter it was sucking to much air and simply choking the engine!
