Ive fitted a new waterpump seal, inspected the impeller and it fitted together tightly. Ive drained the mily crap out and flushed it through until the oil drains clean before refilling but the gearbox still fills with water as soon as you ride the bike. I thought it might be just too much pressure in the cooling system but the water level doent seem to rise or fall and theres no leaks anywhere else.

Ive also rebuild the topend and there was no water/milk in the crank either

Starting to bug me now. The bike has been stood for a while (year or so?)..

any ideas?

cheers Thumbs Up

How much water are you talking about? Any chance it might be condensation?

Ive flushed and refilled the gearbox 3 times now (first when I got to just to see and twice since the new water pump seal) and the oil just turns to crap. Not as bad as when I first flushed it but its annoying. Ive only ridden it up and down the road each time and so it happens quickly

I'll take some pics..

chainged the oil again today. I'll give it a run tomoz when I get some petrol and I'll see how it is.. Surely I wouldve gotten most of the crap out by now? When I had the casing off I noticed that it was pretty clean. Confused

Im guessing this is a bit more than a condensation problem Razz

Does the TZR125 have a breather tube? Perhaps water could be getting in up there? Doubt that would be a problem with the weather being so hot the last few days.

Do you think perhaps your head gasket has failed? It might be dribbling coolant into the engine cases. You might not of noticed this though when you rebuilt the topend if you weren't paying attention to it.

What if there is a leaking seal/o-ring somewhere in the system, it would only take a small amount of water to make oil look odd. And act it Smile

Sorry I can't really be specific, I don't know the TZR125 and I don't know too much about 2-strokes but it might provide some inspiration.

Time for a strip and rebuild by the look of it.

It could simply be that when you run the engine its picking up all the old crud that is stuck inside in the upper reaches of the engine.
Perhaps buy some real cheap crap oil and fill and run for a short period empty and do the same a couple of times to see if it gets any better, before you strip it down. This might also give you chance to see if the water level is dropping any.
