Should I be sent another licence with the <25kw removed from the licence to show I am now allowed to ride any +33bhp bike? Or do I need to apply?

I have gottten passed the date, and am not 100 per cent if I should be sending them my licence or if I should ring them and ask what is taking so long.

You don't need to do anything. If you want another copy of your license without the <25kw on it then you have to pay. There's no requirement to have it removed, once you've held the license for more than two years it's expired so doesn't matter. Thumbs Up

Cheers mate, They are not supposed to have reinstated my morcycle category on the licence as I had licence revoked(new drivers act), passed my driving test and my licence came back with the motorcycle Category back on there!

Anyone any ideas on this?

I think that you will find that you only have to re-pass one test and all of your entitlement categories are reinstated, (after your licence has been revoked under the terms of the New Drivers Act).

As was my understanding, until I received my licence back with the motorcycle <25kw category, hense my asking of the question!

Now from looking at descriptions of licences and icons on the licences it would seem I am elligible to ride another motorcycle! Spose I best just talk to the doovla!

I'm confused. You seem to be complaining because you got your motorcycle entitlement back when you weren't expecting too and now you are complaining because your restriction period is up but your licence still shows <25kw.

How long ago did you pass your bike test originally? How long ago was your licence revoked under the New Drivers Act and when did you repass your car test and get your licence reinstated?

I assume your 2 year restriction is not up because your licence went back to wales for a few months.
So say you passed your bike test 2 years ago but your licence was removed for 4 months. You have only had your bike licence for 1 year and 8 months even though you passed 2 years ago.
I would guess in 4 months time the restriction would be removed.
I mean if you were to pass your bike test then get your licence revoked for 2 years it wouldnt come back un-restricted that would defeat the object of the restriction period surely!
