Had a little go last night, found a few relatively quiet roundies and had a go but I don't really know what to do. I can get it down hacking on twisties (just) but nowhere near on roundies.

What exactly is your problem? Confused ...is it a case of not touching down?...or do you have a problem with positioning (i.e. verging too close to the roundie)?

If you're not touching down, then it's a case of either not hanging off enough, or not leaning enough...or both...since you can GYKD on twisties (something that I haven't even attempted yet), you should have your body position fairly sorted...

If you're needing to constantly adjust your position around the roundie, then you've got to work on your speed...

One more thing...If you haven't done already, go out and buy (or read) this month's RIDE mag, there's an article about the pros and cons of getting YKD

I find that I can 'touch' my knee down on twisites alot easier than keeping it down on roundabouts... for some reason I'm more confident dipping the bike down really low rather than keeping down (not that I have a problem on roundabouts either ...really must get some new sliders Smile )

I think it's mainly speed, pos etc on roundies. same as G, I'm more confident dropping the bike over on twisties, there's less centrifugal force!!

I can definatley get lower (ie peg down etc) if I'm not trying to keep it down for too long.. while undulations in the road etc disturb me more if the bike is kept cranked over.

That shouldn't matter, just means that you can lean more!.... The main problem V had ghkd was hanging off... she was turning fast enough (or too fast!) but not hanging off enough.

Dont worry about it Dean, I will show you soon enough!!
(christening this weekend though).

Its mainly about hanging off enough as the rest of 'em have said and basically sticking your knee out in the right direction, keep your toes in and don't forget to relax too!

one last thing............don't crash!!!!
