That the "inferior" Lid Zak?????
I have a Lazer and it's mint. Fits me perfectly but can be a little noisy at high speed, but most lids will be under £300. Tinny's got one and a few others were after one. They can be bought for £150 to £120 at trade shows, like the NEC in nov. ____________________ Back on a Blade. Just feels so right. |

As ppl have already pointed out, the most important thing is whether it fits you...and then whether it looks good
The new Nitro lids look quite cool for the price...£50 buys you a track-approved helmet that looks quite good. It's only fibreglass, but unless you intend to crash at 160mph, it should do the job.
Go to a few shops and browse around... ____________________ TiN

Take some chewing gum with you when you go to buy your new lid! The helmet should be a snugg fit and feel confortable, and you should be able to chew the gum without biting your tong or the sides of your mouth. Everybody's head is different so it is impossible for anyone to recomend which lid is the best for you. Try on a few different makes and styles. Make sure there are no pressure zones pushing on the temple area (this may cause head aches).
There is an old, wise saying in motorcycling, "if you have a ten bob head, buy yourself a ten bob helmet!" Your helmet could be your life, buy wisely!
Aim to spend a minimum of £100, so you get a non-thermo plastic helmet The best helmets are a composite construction, usually with Kevlar or carbon fibre. If the helmet instructions says, do not paint or apply stickers to this helmet, it's a thermoplastic helmet so put it back on the shelf.
Hope this helps m8! |

I found my old Vemar to be very comfy, and it was about £100. Track approved and everything.
I'm a Revolution girlie now tho - just can't beat a flip face with sunvisor |

I have the new Nitro N600V with iridium visor, for a £69 helmet it's excellent. Compared to my old £50 kiwi lump of shit.
