My Bandit 600, has rotted away like suzukis do, at the join between downpipes and can/linkpipe.

There is the possibility of BanditMania Repairing it for under 100, but that involves a week or more without the bike on the road...

I been thinking about ebaying some downpipes, can and a link pipe, but what else do i need? Header bolts? Gaskets?. Lemme know if theres anything im missing here:

I was thinking of:

Ideally i wouldent like to spend that much, but i am planning a france/spain trip ASAP and just want something reliable and that will help the resale value...

Just a set of gaskets for the head and maybe some exhaust paste for the joints and you should be fine.
Do Sandy not do the whole system ? Might be a cheaper option.

Only thing I know about the bandit system is that it needs a gasket where the link pipe meets the downpipes/collector box area. Banditmania will most likely sell them although you might get them cheaper from Fowlers.

I can supply the stainless down pipes and if you picked up from me you wouldn't have to pay delivery. Just around the corner from your office as well.

I can also supply the gaskets EXCEPT the big one which is a Suzuki only item.

The people selling the downpipes will do all the gaskets for £15.99.

Be warned the header bolts snapped on my bandit when getting the exhaust removed and caused a major headache for the guy doing it, I had purchased new bolts anyway which came with 4 gaskets for £8 off ebay but getting the stumps out took days and required drilling and retapping.

Found on a site after the event (its always the same) that its worth running the engine for 10 mins or so before starting as its quite common and if the hex rounds a 13mm socket can be hammered onto the bolt for removal.

Good luck Thumbs Up
