Hello everyone i need a bit of advice.
I'm looking for a shitty commuter bike, ive seen a c90 'B' reg 15,000 miles for 250 quid, now this sounds perfect i just dont know if i want to be seen riding a cub 90 ... could anyone recommend a *cheap* alternative that doesnt look like its just been nicked off a pizza hut delivery guy??
Thanks in advance |

Hi
Used to own a 400 superdream and I have riden 250 ones. I would say go for one. They are fairly tough. Change the oil often (<1800 miles I think) and watch the cam chain (typical '80s Honda).
Cheap tyres, OK on petrol, brakes on the CB400NC were OK (better calipers than on the earlier bikes)
They are solid slow handling bikes. I ran a sheep over on mine without falling off
Oh, I would say that £400 is very ott for a superdream. For that amount it looks like you could find a VF400 or even nudge towards a VF500 now.
All the best
