hello everybody! ! !
Where do I start... this is not your average sunday morning ride out.

I am Planning a European Tour for next year some time.
None of my friends have bikes so I need to find some biking friends to do the trip with.

I will hopefully be doing the trip on a half Faired Bandit 600 when I get it in a months time.

the first half of the trip will follow the following route which I have planned ROUGHLY on google maps. follow the link:

https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&hl=en&geocode=&saddr=A1%2FHolloway+Rd+%4051.557860,+-0.119380&daddr=47.931066,-0.571289+to:Unknown+road+%4048.900760,+2.358780+to:Auguste+Reyerslaan%2FR21%2FR21b+%4050.853910,+4.399660+to:s102%2FTransformatorweg+%4052.391740,+4.849110+to:B51%2FKonrad-Adenauer-Ufer+%4050.947580,+6.964380+to:B43%2FDeutschherrnufer+%4050.105220,+8.721920+to:B27%2FHeilbronner+Stra%C3%9Fe+%4048.786520,+9.180200+to:Hardturmstrasse+%4047.393810,+8.507610+to:1%2FBoulevard+James+Fazy+%4046.206500,+6.139520+to:Viale+Elvezia+%4045.476900,+9.177850+to:Via+Canevari+%4044.411560,+8.952130+to:Corso+di+Francia+%4041.929000,+12.472860+to:Via+Colonnello+Carlo+Lahalle+%4040.863660,+14.275680+to:Corso+Alcide+De+Gasperi+%4041.103510,+16.871640&mrcr=0,1&mrsp=1&sz=5&mra=dpe&sll=46.407564,12.65625&sspn=21.912444,40.869141&ie=UTF8&ll=47.487513,17.182617&spn=21.484931,40.869141&z=5&om=1

after that we will go north through croatia right to the top of poland where we will get a ferry to sweden > norway to oslo then get a ferry to denmark go down to esjbjerg and get a ferry to england (harwich) and go back to london.

the whole trip will take about 30ish days depending on how long we stay in each place we pass through and cover about 4000 miles.

If you need pursuading to do this then go down to blockbusters and rent 'long way round' that is what inspired me to do this.

Everything is easy enough to organis apart from who I go with as at the moment I have no one so I have come here to find some fellow bikers to go with.
so is anyone up for it?

30 days is a bit TOO long for me ta , but solo isn't so bad you stop when YOU want to stop you ride where you want to ride you ride how fast YOU want to ride,

though you skirt around some ace roads!

the N74 (as Maurice) and the N85 and the N202 which are possibly the best roads in Europe,

bring a tent = more flexibility,

maybe slice your tour into bits>? Savage has provisionally agreed to join me on my tour next year , ie you tag along to the South of France and see if you can join it with somebody else's tour once at Nice , since Savage wants to stay in Nice for a week , I want to go west to the Pyranees , you want to go East , etc

EDIT

you are also getting route fixation , don't its much more enjoyable to have a city in mind and find an interesting route on the way, mine was South to nice! , I had no set route and found some fantastic roads out there (generally around Grenoble/Gap/Sisteron/Grasse)

that sounds like a pretty nice trip when you planning on going?
I'll be up for that if you don't mind me tagging on.

I thought 30 days would be a bit too long for most people So I might split it into two possibly 3 trips.

I dunno , if you read the first sentences of my tour in my sig, you'll see I am very fickle, one day next year (next month if this job doesn't go well) a random thought of Lets tour will pop into me head a few hours later I'll be on a ferry.

My thoughts are May/June next year , maybe in the middle , Aug is apparently too hot , and might be saved for another tour.

yeah I've just been reading some posts and you seem to pop up quite regularly for snap touring.
I quite like the may/june idea.
well if the idea progresses into something solid then I'm well up for it.
