Just in case you didn't know, if you report a pot hole or crack in the road to your local council, they will generally come round and repair it pretty damned quickly. It's because if a fault in the road has been reported and then someone has an accident and the council have been given "reasonable" (grey area in law) time to repair it then they can be liable for the cost of repairs or compensation to a driver/rider if they are in an accident caused by the fault. Often it will be repaired within 24-48 hours of reporting it if it's dangerous. ____________________ :: Honda XR 125 L ('53) => Kawasaki GPZ 500S ('02) => Suzuki SV650S ('00) => Aprilia RSV-R ('51) :: |

I understand it's "under construction", but how difficult is it to use a spell checker??
"The condition of roads in Britan is appauling" ...and so is your spelling
EDIT : "A higher miniumum standard for contacters"... contractors?? ...ffs
I think I'll be sticking with the local council for now ____________________ 1st bike (Sept'06 - May'10) : 1991 GPZ500S / Current bike (since Nov 2009) : 2003 Suzuki Bandit 600N

I live in the highlands of Scotland and tbh the roads are great up here twisty, long straights but the amount of heavy goods vehicles rip the road up pretty bad. It's that bad it splits and underneath is a very shinny and slidy surface which is pretty much in the riding line. They seem to be doing a lot of resurfacing to the roads but typical council not in the right bloody places. My rear tyre is lucky to see over 1k miles due to the roads here. ____________________ Current: 2019 Yamaha T7 -> 2015 KTM Superduke R | 2000 Yamaha R1 Past -> 2009 KTM 990 SM -> 2005 kawasaki ZX10r -> 2000 Honda CBR 600 FY -> 2002 Honda XLV 125 Varadero

Don't the cyclists already have a site for just this thing.
www.FixMyStreet.com
www.potholes.co.uk
www.fillthathole.org.uk
Why add another to do just the same.... Why not try to join forces with them and make it even better.
Having said that its far better to go direct to the council yourself.... But that means getting off your butt to do something, which seems to be sadly neglected these days....
Many councils allow you to do it online, but to be honest you cannot beat talking to a fellow human to get them to the correct location. ____________________ Just because my bike was A DIVVY, does not mean i am......

annoyingly true
if the roads were perfect with proper drainage and all junctions were clearly marked and corners had signs indicating the severity of turn and the white paint wasnt slippy...
would any of us still have a license?
fuck its complicated being human sometimes ____________________ found something better to do with my time |
