Opinions please,
I want a replacement chain and sprocket for my GSF600 K4 and have found a reasonably priced DID gold seal x ring chain from Laguna Motorcycles now I'm assuming this is a good replacement chain as they are Suzuki dealers but feed back would be appreciated.

DID are a good make. Remember to replace the sprockets as well.

Fitted the same chain to my Bandit 6 a few weeks ago, and its great however the chain was in such a bad state I would imagine any 'new' chain would have been an improvement. I paid £90 for mine with replacement sprocketswhich was about the same price as an O ring. As I have only done a couple of hundred miles on it I can't speak of life etc but its claimed it should last longer than standard O ring.

Thanks for the feed back will get this sorted today.
Another question, if this is a purpose chain will I need a chain splitter to fit it?

1.grind the old one off after loosening the sprockets, front first.
2.Then attach the new sprockets and tighten lightly so they stay in place, get your new chain and lay it up, see if any links need removing or not, probably not.
3.Get the spare pin (if its a soft pin) and put the rings on then fit with the backing plate to the tyre and swing arm then put the rings on the other side and get a hammer and knock the plate on.
4.Get a ball and pein hammer and hit the soft brass poles till they mushroom out wards and finnish off tightening everything to the spec torque and your done, all you have to do then is lube it in the next 300 km then every so often after that.
Very Happy hope this lecture helped, i've done it twice now with the same method.

Thanks for the blow by blow, much appreciated always nice to be given a few pointers first.. Have ordered the chain now so will do the job in the next week.
