Have Sky taken up some aggressive marketing campaign? I've a call off them nearly every night now for the last week or so. Last night I told them not to ring me again and that if I wanted something I would ring them. Tonight they just rang me again. Are they stupid? I asked them to note that I didn't want ringing. I've just gave the guy a right earbashing and said if they ring again i'll cancel my subscription. I'll probably cancel it anyway, its wank. Its all rubbish or repeats of rubbish. Mad

You want to register your telephone with TPS.

Its pretty good we used to get a lot of annoying calls at home and on my mobile until I registered my phone number with them.

We've been registered with TPS for years, but as i'm a subscriber to sky it doesn't come under the same rules. I joined the mail preference service as well, but we still recieve junk mail. I think theres a need for a fps (flyer preference service) now as we get dozens of flyers for takeaways every week now. If we ever move onto pay as you throw i'll have board the letterbox up!.

Rang me to but was for money other day told them I would pay today they said ok we cut of on Friday if you don't. Guess what they cut me of on the day I was going to pay so they can whistle. Dont care its crap anyway. I always get Indian people when I call BT and takes twice as long to explain something and I cant understand them, its frustrating.

Calling BT or Sky I always start the conversation by saying I want to cancel, once I get transfered to an onshore call centre I then give my real reason for calling.

Sky cannot call a tps number even if you are a subscriber if they are trying to sell out the blue. They can offer you special offers that affect you, but thats all. Their staff are told they are walking a fine line and to back out quickly and politely if the customer claims TPS.

I had a bloke around yesterday flogging what I thought was crap - But turned out to be a good deal. You still keep your services but you dont deal with them any more. Call centers are all UK based - thing with BT/Sky is they do have people I cant understand Thumbs Down

Talk Talk £21 for BB/Telephone (free calls) and sky - Saving some £££ for me.

Err, if you do that, you'd get transfered to the customer options team (or cut off, if you call through to India as they cannot transfer a call to save their life) then COT will transfer you back to whatever the relative department is. Of if you called through to me, I'll just cancel your line. Mr. Green

And in related BT news, they've just got rid of Customer Services in Canterbury and Truro! So even smaller chance of getting through to a UK based agent for anything other than a Sales reason! Thumbs Down

And in Sky related rant, why the hell is every number an 0870 number, even sales? I refuse to use 0870 numbers, but Sky have no alternative numbers!! Evil or Very Mad

That's why I like using this website www.saynoto0870.com it gives you the normal number to ring them on.

My insurance company have a 0870 number and a couple of times that I have tried to ring them on an 0870 number I get put on hold for ages. Using there other number I seem to get through to someone much quicker.

According to that website Sky's number is 01506 831781

Every time I went on it to find a number, all the numbers said "This number is not in use. Please dial 0870..."
