Hi. Well It looks like I'm selling one of my beloved 350 Yams .
I really fancy another old skool GSXR, prefer an L or M (oil cooled) but seen very few that are not in foul aftermarket paintjobs etc.
In my price range however their replacements, the water cooled WN and WP models seem quite plentiful in tidy standard nick.
I know they are a bit lardier - but are they any good? I know sickpup will have a view on this, but I thought I'd throw the question out there. ____________________ 18:54:48 Rob Fzs: jews don't give away stuff for free

Not bad.
A lot more civilised than the Slingers, also a lot smoother in power delivery and general manners.
The extra weight while taking away from the performance tends to make them easier to ride.
Kind of six of one half dozen of the other really. you can have brutality or you can have civilised.
I tend not to want one but then I get bored very easily with anything to civilised but as an everyday bike they do the do very well and in comfort especially if you're not a dwarf which the latest sports bikes seem to require.
As an aside there are still 750L's about, theres one here. |

Cheers Sick. I would prefer an L or M based on prior experiece and the utter simplicity, but might be swayed by a bloody cheap stock W.
That L looks ok other than the yellow flashes on the fairing. ____________________ 18:54:48 Rob Fzs: jews don't give away stuff for free

I had a 1995 WS for about 18months, no problems at all. very solid bikes. They do everything ok.
Maybe heavy but theres plenty of bikes around that era which are fat pigs too the ZXR750 and ZX7R's are heavier, the 916 is heavier too. You dont notice it when riding, it's got quite a low riding position so you dont notice it stood still either. Rear shocks tend to be shit and dont last long, front end is pretty good.
Very much worth it for the price you can get a very well looked after one, seems to be a completely forgotten era. ____________________ My bikes are at https://www.bikepics.com/members/dynamight/ |
