Bank charges, whats going on ?

Just rang the bank and there was an automaited message saying if your call was to do with the latest press release regarding bank charges, press 1.

Whats going on ? anyone know ?

The most recent thing that I heard was last month, when a judge effectively called a halt to repayment of the charges while an appeal was heard against a ruling in favour of the banks.

The OFT have agreed a test case with the main high street banks to test the legality of reclamations. My guess is the loophole will be closed (feeling cynical today) as many of the higher judiciary are Lloyds registrars and such like

Meanwhile, a moratorium has been declared on all current and pending cases until further notice.
