Would riding to wales on a 30mph moped be a good idea. I just think it would be rather fun but it could take me a while to get there. Ideas please.

he is ridiing from ashton manchester.

i think a ride to the lakes or the peak district might be a better bet, as nicer roads on the way from where you are

Well bearing in mind that I have no suspension it could be quite an exciting ride. I was planning on riding along side my dad on his RD250 but he would probably race away.

Depends what you find fun, of course.
For me it would be just frustrating, as I suspect it would for your dad on a RD250.

It's definitely perfectly 'doable'.

If you've got the time and happy bimbling along for a few (long) days each way, it should be fine providing you get an ok route sorted out.

I reckon it'd be fun.. bit of a trek getting there but nice roads and I survived a couple of days were my landy wouldn't do more then 40mph while I was up there a few weeks ago. Can cause a bit of backed up traffic but then the roads are fairly quiet up there anyway. Smile

I rode the length of New Zealand on a 'fifty' VVVVVVVVVV
https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=119923

It was a great laugh, but I'd forget doing it with somebody on a bigger bike as it will annoy both of you.
I rode with two mates on scooters aswell and we had some great mini Gp's around the twisty lanes but with one person on a bike that can go 3 times as quick it would take the fun out of it some what and annoy the hell out of them.

Do it Thumbs Up Goodluck Smile
