I try and drink at least 2 litres a day but sometimes just can't be bothered.

I've noticed that I feel very tired and lethargic a lot of the time so should probably drink more and try and eat more healthily.

But then I have a friend who just doesn't drink water at all, she prefers juice or fizzy drinks.

What about you lot?

I probably don't drink as much water as I should... maybe a litre or so at work... then the odd drink of water/coffee/tea/beer when I get home.

I drink plenty of water at night, for some reason I wake up feeling better.
Otherwise it's Earl Grey tea for me.

Aye, but coffee is a diuretic (which makes you piss more) so effectively dehydrates you.

On a typical working day I probably drink 3 or 4 litres of water. I stopped drinking tea and coffee at work all day a few years ago as I was getting a lot of headaches.

However at the weekend or in the evening I don't actually drink any water, just squash, juice, fizzy drinks or tea. Not sure why but drinking a glass of water at home just isn't the same.

I seldom drink anything other than tea and I think there is a whole heap of bollocks talked about how much you should drink in a day.

There is this wonderful system going on in my body called homeostatic control.

If I am dehydrated, an electrical impulse is sent to my brain. My brain interprets this as thirst.

In my nearly thirty years on this planet, I have learned a response so when I experience this sensation of 'thirst', I drink something. On doing so, the feeling of thirst is abolished and I get some dopamine into the bargain. It's all gravy from there-on.

If you try to drink the 'recommended' volume of water you have to conciously choke it down. You then experience a sensation of being waterlogged and mildly nauseous. This is your bodys way of telling you not to do something.

I drink loads, working days 2 or 3 litres probably. If I have a day where I've forgotten to/weren't able to I feel rough as owt. Always take a pint to bed.

I hate when I'm somewhere where I can't just help myself to a pint or two of water - like someones house, or stingy restaurants.

I actually dislike bottled water, it tastes weird.

Tap-supplied coolers FTW!!! Guzzling as I type... Thumbs Up

Laughing

No, it's just like if you get offered a drink and ask for water, most people give you a pathetic little tumbler-full that wouldn't hydrate a vole! Sad

I think I have a water problem - H2O Anonymous, anyone?!?
