Hi

Thanks to an idiotic farmer who lubricated the road with a mixture of mud and cow shit I have now added myself to the forum curse:-

https://www.alfa-pages.co.uk/TempPicture/bentbim.jpg

Damage seems to consist of:-

Bent clutch lever
Bent footrest hanger
Bent gearchange lever
Scraped l/h fairing panel
Scraped and chewed up top fairing panel
Scraped mirror
Cracked rear mudguard (where the indicator mounts)
Small dink in swinging arm where the footrest hanger has touched it
Possibly a bent clip on bar (could just have slipped though).
Scruffed footrest
Scuffed alloy nut on the end of the front wheel spindle.

At Bimota prices, if the stuff is available that is probably £2000 minimun, and probably over £3000.

All the best

Keith

ouch... what happened? on a corner?

u ok? or do we need another hospital thread...

im sure there must be some law against making a shit mess on roads... might be worth looking it up, to see if the farmer is a liable... if u r gonna try this, go and get pictures of the road etc etc etc

Hi

No, this was in a straight line at walking pace. Without touching the brakes the front wheel just slid away and dumped me on the road. The road was so bad that you had to be careful walking on it.

Other than some smelling brown marks on the outside of my trousers I am OK.

I have reported it to the police as being a lethal bit of road.

While I was waiting at the side of the road wondering what to do (I rang a friend who was going to bring a camera along, but then someone else I know drove past and happened to have a camera) I saw 2 cars almost crash on the corner where the mud started, both loosing the front and clipping the verge.

All the best

Keith

ive had a slip on farmers mud, some how bent the side stand bracket, and pushed the chain roller out of line a bit., still needs to be fixed. I as told its quite hard to prove it was a particular farmer unless you have photos of the tractor or whatever, actually dropping the mud. so it makes it difficult fora claim to hold up .

Oh my fucking god! What a retard! Keith sorry to hear about that, I hate fucking farmers, they do it all the time round where I live, I've come round corners many a time and there been horse shit, mud, cow shit, etc all over the roads, I mean ok I am probably going a bit fast but it shouldn't be there!

Go beat the farmer with a stick till he coughs up 3 grand Laughing

Hope you are ok, and you get the bike sorted soon.

Shame about the bike, hope it gets better quick.

I don't know much about bimota's, is it a 4-stroke? how much power does it make?

try asking in houses near-by who owns/ uses the field. then go over there, and ask them if they ploughed it or whatever recently. If you get pictures/ video of the road, ie, of mud tracks coming outta the field, and then along the road, it is pretty clear where it has come from. and if you have they saying they ploughed it on xx.xx.2002 with a witness then *bang* bobs your uncle Very Happy
