Forks twisted??

I had an off on the track a few months ago at about 130mph but the bike was pretty much saved from any damage by my crash bungs.
Now I've been thing about swapping my other bike (ZX7R) for a bandit 12 so as it's not taxed and mot'd just now I swapped my R1 for a bandit for a week with a mate. The first thing he said after riding it was that the bars seem to be squint. The right hand bar is further back than the left. The bar did take a knock and the bar end has a small scuff on it but other than that it looks fine. After a week with the bandit I picked up the R1 last night and after a week with flat bars the R1 felt really squint.
Sitting on the bike with the front wheel pointing straight ahead, not just the bar but the whole top yoke is sitting squint. The bar isn't bent but is it possible that the forks have rotated slightly in the yokes? I'd be suprised if the forks are bent but I could be wrong.
Any ideas? Is it likely that the forks have moved within the yolks? and is it just a case of loosening the clamps and pushing back into position?

yeah mate it usually happens, pauls (vmax dude) bike was the same when he had that off that broke his shoulder,
loosen all the nuts get some one to hold the wheel between their legs and twist the bars until the yokes and the wheel are both straight.
you may need new bars as well

Always a useful practice after an off to loosen the forks and jiggle-wiggle them a bit, to make sure they're sitting straight and level.

It used to be a common fault when doing a lot of off road riding and we used to find a nice boulder and give it a thump to restraighten them
