Greetings from Zante

Hi,

On holiday at the moment in Zante which has been great. However does make me smile.

Whilst at home I put on my Knox backprotector, Hein Gericke kit, Boots, Arai lid etc over here its flip flops and bikinis!!! and you are lucky if anyone is wearing a helmet and if they are its undone.

I have hired a car and I swear I have never driven/ridden anywhere more unsafe.

I have seen families on scooters with kids as young as 4 sitting on the back.

I know how hot it is and I guess its just the done thing but certainly its not for me!

Don't think I would be brave enough to rent a bike here!!

I was there a few years back and didn't see the turtles but still ha d a great time scuba diving, kite surfing, fishing for scary looking beasties and ofcourse drinking silly amounts of alcohol.

I hired a TTR250 and spent a few days tearing round and round the island with the missus on the back. Seen a chav piling into the back of a coach on my first day there. He was in a right mess and his scooter wasn't any better.
