I never really understood this.

So i called up the bike place this morning,

"Hi there, i need a new tyre blah blah blah"

"Yea no problem, pop down and we'll sort it"

"Great, how long will it take?"

"Oh, we'll do it while you wait"

"Right"

Presumably, either way im going to be waiting, and surely by saying "while you wait" is just stating the obvious? I mean, ive prepared myself to wait, but i just want to know how long!

Stupid saying! lol!

because it could be anything between 15 minutes and an hour.

depends on the condition of the rim, whether you've got stupid tyre sealant inside that needs removing, and whether or not 5 other peope all turn up for the 'while you wait' at the same time Smile

And fortunately, any time over the allocated hour out of your hectic schedule that should be taken up by mischievous mechanics can be easily made up by reducing short phrases into wholly unnecessary acronyms.

Dave McCool, not too busy today.

Just call your local mobile bike tyre guy, mine comes out to me where ever I am , yes sure his fitting is alotmore expensive than other places BUT his tyres are alot cheaper than other places, so you don't really lose out + if you get him to come out to do multiple bikes he'll cut the price.
