Ok, so finished work at about 5:15, was on my way home, going round a roundabout and the back tyre started deflating, within about 5 seconds the tyre was flat and the back end was sliding, i managed to control it and brought it to the side of the road.

Rang my brother, who came to pick me up, we decided to get some TyreWeld in order to get me home so i could get it repaired.

So we got the TyreWeld, and was heading back to where i parked up the bike, and he pulls up to a junction, his car died! Tried to start it and it would turnover but not start!

So hes there arguing with the RAC as he recently changed his insurance over and his RAC cover apparently didnt cover his current car, after a few phone calls they finally give in and hes currently waiting for the RAC to come and try fix it or tow it back home.

So, whilst all this is happening his misses comes and meets us (we're both at his car waiting for the RAC) and picks me up, we drive off to get my bike, and use the TyreWeld, i followed the instructions and try to fix the tyre and it doesnt work, the air just comes back out of the hole which apparently was too large.

So we're standing there trying to figure out what we're gonna do, when a bloke comes out of his house and asks what we're up to. He offered to stick my bike in his van and take it back to mine, which i gladly accepted.

So got back about 10 minutes ago, thanked the kind van driver and gave him £10 for his troubles, told him to get himself a drink and enjoy the weekend.

My brother is yet to get home, hes still waiting. So, now i need a new tyre! Grrrr!

Confused

Harsh dude!

Never trust TyreWeld or any other gloop that people like sticking in tyres... they never work, and tyres are for air!

Stab-through bungs work fine. One went into the BT020 on my VFR when I'd covered 80 miles on it (picked up a nail) and a second after 600 miles.

It's down past the wear bars now and I haven't taken it easy.
