i was wondering how easy and it is to restrict a suzuki gsf 600 bandit to 33bhp, becaus im doing my test by the end of the year, my current bike is an 94 aprilia rs125 extrema and ive decided a sports bike isnt for me i want sopmething comforatable and chuck around at the same time and with a bomb proof engine so i can tour southern ireland next year.. its either the suzy bandit 600 or the yamaha xjr 600. i was hoping someone would give me an idea on how to resrtict them two 33bhp. thanks, josh.

very easy to get hold of. fi international will be your best bet but they are very expensive. they are jsut washers that go in the carbs

the bandit can be restricted and its still a fun ride restricted up to approx 90 mph,where the restrictor cuts in.Im pretty sure that to qualify for the restriction legally the kit has to, be fitted by an approved fitter and a certificate issued..i say "pretty sure" as im sure someone will agree or disagree. What year is the Bandit?

There's tons of Factory restricted Bandit 600's in Ireland, 02 onward only and most have been de-restricted.

There's probably loads in England too, but if not, ask on www.biker.ie I'm sure someone has a set lying around that they dont want. Tell 'em Liamo sent ye

factory restristion is in the carb diaphragms/slides BTW. Just swap the parts and she's down to 33bhp.
