Hi All,

Mainly after advice of you Pluggers out there.

Who's got/used what kit and which do they find the best?

Looking to get a kit for those "just incase" moments as I dont have Breakdown Cover etc to get me home, so need to be able to keep myself rolling.

Also somewhere i found a micro Air Pump about 4"x4" that would power off a bike battery and fit under a seat, does anyone know/have a link for this?

Thanks all,

Luke.

P.S. Writing this will probably Jynx the situation Razz

I bought a Rema TipTop - Rep&Air kit about four or five years ago for those tyre puncture emergencies. I have never ever used it and after a few months of carrying about under my seat I left it in the garage at home instead.

The one time I did get a puncture whilst I was out the shard of metal had gone through at such a strange angle I don't think the kit would have stood a chance of making a temporary repair anyway.

On reflection I think that breakdown cover is a much better option as not only will it cover you for punctures but any bike related problems and maybe even accident recovery.

I have a kit in my BMW's toolkit, think it's also Rema (rings a bell anyway) but both times I have had a puncture I didn't use it. Instead I just screwed a self tapping screw into the hole and carried on after inflating the tyre. Then get it plugged at somewhere like National tyres when I get back.
