Firstly, hi people! Hope we're all well. If no-one remembers me, i was on here lots a year and a half ago but when I lost my licence I decided to run away and live in a hole. Now i'm out of the hole and had a shower and shave to remove all the bits of bread and soup stains, i'm ready to get back to biking. Well, I will be come October the 4th.

Now, my question. Having been a man of a slightly drunken nature, I am now lumbered with a criminal record and hence a problem when it comes to insurers. Many won't insure us naughty people but I'm sure there are some that will. Does anyone know of any such companies? I'm sure there are probably other naughty people on here who have been banned for various reasons who could recommend some companies. If you don't want to say on forum then can you PM me? My first quote was £870 TPFT with a years no claims, drink driving course certificate and living in "cheap insurance land".

Other than that, hope you've all been well.
R

Well I can't specifically help other than to suggest that you do the normal ringing round and maybe mention that you have just finished your ban and what you were banned for, before you get too involved in going through all your details. That way if they won't insure you at all because of the ban at least it might save some legwork.

Have been doing that. Motorcycle direct got it down to £760 TPFT - this is all without calling. I could also faff about and play on that site too which was nice. My insurance would drop by £90 if I was married. I'm getting married next April too! Grr. Why can't it have other options like "living with partner"

Will be buying Biketrader this week methinks. May also have to get a 600 again instead of a 750.
