Ok, I'll upset lots of you to start with......I now drive a 4x4.

I have no problems with it, its only an old Frontera Sport, I still ride too.
The problem I'm having is with one guy who rides an old off-road bike (dunno wot make) who drives like a t..t!!
I've seen him before, but lately I've almost killed him....twice, not because of anything I've done, but because he overtakes in the wrong places..........blind l/h bends approaching "T" junctions, approaching road narrowing areas etc.
To night was the last straw, I'm approaching a major road junction, indicating right, moving to position (I know hes behind me already) as I come up to (already stopped) traffic, and cars come round into our road.....he overtakes. If I had'nt slammed on and pulled back to the left, he would have been road kill.
As I say, this has happened more than once with this guy wot should I do next time...kill him myself?....or let someone else do it by NOT moving out of the way?
He puts not only himself in danger but other road users, I could easily have collided with someone coming up the inside of me tonight, on another occasion I had to decide HIM, or grass verge, or four car pile-up, because he chose to pass a stream of traffic on blind l/h bend approaching a T junction...and I know he couldn't see the car coming down the other road as he was on my offside.

suggestions?

So this is where TTman has gone,. no just kidding,

Going to get karma bashed for this, but I think that biking natural selection may get him soon, otherwise if at all possible to have a word with him which in this circumstance seems unlikely.

I'm all for filtering BUT theres a rule which says that it starts getting onto the illegal/bad side if it makes people swerve, which the situation you describe is what he is doing.

Otherwise I have no real suggestions,

ask him if he really wants to die.
if he does then just make sure he has the right insurance then offer to kill him in a head on with the 4x4 and you can claim for the trauma.
perhaps he dosnt realise how close he cuts things, explain that you have had to avoid him a number of times and maybe he will meet someone who hasnt seen him and will not move to allow him to live.
chances are you will be met by the guy who tells you to f...off and knows he is indestructible.
you cant help people who dont want to be helped.

I think the only wy I'll be able to speak to this guy is when I either;
I Open my door as he squeezes past and knock him off...or
Go to pick him up off the floor after someone else knocks him off

I dont think this guy is a kid either....he looks to be old enough to know a lot better..probably got a young family (obviously doesnt think much of them if he has)

I take it you don't know him.

Its his responsibility to look out for himself. You at least are doing more than other motorists to keep an eye out for him. Just try and make sure its not you that he takes himself out on, it won't be worth the bother.

I wouldn't lose any sleep on him at all.

Report him....take hius plate, tell police he's nearly caused an accident a few times.

Or...
Next time he causes you to swerve...don't. See what happens - even better if you've reported him!

People like this give bikers a bad name (again)

If you stopped him and said anything he would probably just tell you to f*** off. Definitely sounds like that type to me. Stop putting yourself in danger for him, if you move out of his way and get into an accident you'll be the one held to blame! Let him hurt himself if that's what he insists on doing, it will at least be a wake-up call.

Do a degree in Commercial Law. Emigrate to USA. Work on Wall Street and steal billions from large global operating companies, oil would be a good bet.

Give all the money to me and then commit suicide or erase your memory.

The question is ........ When are you going to kill someone by taking such drastic avoiding actions?
This guy obviously relies on others getting out of his way and has developed his riding style to suit. You just need to follow the rules of the road and not worry about someone elses antics. No doubt when he does come a cropper it will be everyone elses fault but his.
As long as you take reasonable precautions and drive in a competent way.

just let him be, don't call the cops, that won't change a thing.
let darwinism take its course, when he over takes still move, but not so it endangers you,
its only a matter of time, before he learns the hard way

No, hes in Cornwall......if you know our roads you'll see why I'm concerned.
Couldn't get his reg if I wanted to either...its horizontal, too small and bent and twisted to be legible.
Was talking to another biker to-day, he's seen the same guy and had similar experiences WHILST RIDING!! This bloke must have a death wish.
