Well i really want to get a sports bike, i have been riding my FMX now for about 4 months and i just fancy something different. Ive got a pretty good idea what im looking for but just a bit shitted on the finance side.
My parents got me my current bike on black horse ( ) and luckily i have paid about half of it off so far. Problem is my FMX has a broken indi (it looks fine, but its scratched a bit) and when i dropped it the day i got it i scratched the back fairing. Will this affect the price much?
Im determined not to go back to a Honda dealer, as they did mess me about a bit, so is it standard for me to go into another dealer, say my bike is on finance and get it arranged so i pay the rest off the new bike i get?
Sorry its a bit odd but im not sure what to do.. i like my FMX and i wont be changing it for a few months but its getting to the point where i was a sports bike and not a supermoto/offroad (previous bike was an XR125)
Thanks ____________________ Current bike - FMX650. |

If you're on a tight budget you should avoid dealers all together.
They will offer you less money for your bike than you could get by selling privately, and charge you a lot more for a new one. ____________________ Yamaha SZR660 Caution to the wind, the throttle pinned! |

Sometimes dealers will offer you a reasonable sum for a bike they don't actually intend to sell on, and they just write it off against the profit they make on selling the new bike to you.
So generally if you're getting a good part-ex price, it's just because you're being raped on the new bike you're buying
I guess like anything there are good deals and bad deals to be had though, worth shopping around. ____________________ Yamaha SZR660 Caution to the wind, the throttle pinned! |
