bike 'groans' when moving handlebars

okay as the title says it kinda make a real weird groaning sound when the bike (even when engine is off and im just hand pushing it) is moved and also sometimes when i move the handlebars.

think the noise is coming from the front of the bike but dont know where.

anyone know what it could be?

I'd suspect either head bearing or front wheel bearings, but I can't give any more info, sorry.

my gs did the groans when all the grease was ouf the head race bearings (i didnt put any in when i change hem, what a fool )
any way i would repack the head race bearings with grease,
it could possibly be your wheel bearings, in fact its more likely it is,
take the front wheel off and have a feel of them, good luck

It's your head bearings.

Give them a check for free play by getting the front wheel of the ground and trying to wiggle the forks backwards and forwards. If it moves at all you'll need to get them tightened or changed.

My initial thought was the brake binding ever so slightly. But if you are sure it happens when the wheel doesn't move then it can't be. Worth checking out IMHO

the bike does it even when its standing still and i move the handle bars. but the noise the bike makes is really intense.

when im riding i dont hear it (possibly the engine noise) but i dont think the bike makes it. its only when im rolling it or at really low speeds or at standstill the bike makes this noise.

also how much does repairing the things u guys have stated above cost?
