Hi there,

I have a 1990 400rr gullarm with a weird problem, The bike runs fantastic around town (accelerating etc), but when i take it on the open road and take it to about 100 or have on hard acceleration for about 3 miles, then it seems to starting hunting for fuel, and i have to drop speed down to about 65mph and wont go any faster for about 5 mins then the power comes back and all is well until the next time i gun it. The fuel filters have been changed, ive checked the air filter(its ok), the electrics seem ok, sparks plugs ok, etc. I just cant fathom it out, and its ruining a fantastic bike.
The embarassing bit is that i overtake all these people going fast only to have to slow down or pull in and let them pass because i run out of steam. i think its restricted aswell but it was ok for at least 8 months before this started.
Help please Sad

time to check the fuel pump if it has one, check all the lines and filters, if its still running odly, run carb cleaner throught it, and if its still doing it then your fuel/air mixture is wrong.Very Happy Thumbs Up
