A girl on a forum that my Mrs frequents has a dog, that needs a wheel chair, unfortunatly she has just lost her job and posted to ask how she could raise the £250 or the dogs going to have to be put down.

It was suggested she posts her paypal account and within a day she's already half way there.

Get another job?

It amazes me that people rush to donate for animal, but a lot of times when it's humans in need people don't care half as much as when it's for 'that poor little doggy'.

Sell her ass on the street. Come on, they must know someone who can bung them 250 pounds, its not as if its a huge amount christ. Rolling Eyes And yes i am dog lover, and i certainly would not go virtually begging to save my pet. I'd get up off my ass and get a job, cleaning bogs if i had to.
I hope she raises the money and sorts her dog out, but its a crap way of going about it?
Btw, the old dear has cancer my paypal is [email protected] Rolling Eyes

Agreed, if she's so desperate not to let her dog go that's she's decided it needs a wheelchair (wondering if the dog will actually like that) then she can sell something to make the money instead of just holding her hand out and hoping everyone else will foot the bill.

Nah I chipped in too, its not like she was simply begging she asked her "friends" for advice and someone else suggested it.

Well I think its stupid the way people are so soft over animals. All dogs are good for is a deterrent against the scum that try to rob our back yards, and besides how many times do we have to suffer standing in dog shit around the park!

When beastrider posted on here about his baby boy, https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=122889&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0
and how he was going to support the unit where he died, he didnt get anything like that response. I think people should think about that warm fuzzy feeling and get donating to a proper charity that actually makes a difference.

People are entitled to choose what they do with their own money, and should be made to feel guilty because of their choices, and if I want to give a fiver to someone my mrs considers a friend then I will do.

I sit on the board of directors of a registered charity for disabled children, help out with another that supports children of abuse, and have helped raise significant funds for a charity supporting children living with a chronic illness.

So I think I have made a difference, how about you?

£250 for this?

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v333/claire1980/doggywheelchair.jpg

Someone's got to be taking the piss. Seriously, you could get a shopping trolley bag for £10-15 and make one from the frame and wheels. Some wide webbing for the harness might bring the total cost to £35.
