Ok so i feel like a bit of a twat asking this. Confused But i bought a tax disc holder to... well hold my tax disc. My questions is this... where abouts on the bike do i mount this. And how would i mount it? I undertsand it has to be on the left hand side of the bike and be visable to those lovely traffic police people...

Usually front near-side, I bolted mine to the front mudguard using the screw that was already there. But if that's not possible, anywhere on the bike will do, if the police etc... want to get arsey they'll find a reason anyway, hope that helps. Thumbs Up

Yeah, mine has 2 bolts halfway down the front fork.
It is just bolted onto one of them.
On the left side as you sit on it.

I have mine where one of the horns was on my crash bars on the right, One horn is enough. Didnt relise it had to be at a certain angle.

As is mine. My CG's disc is on the forks, on the same bolt as the mudguard. I shouldn't think it matters.

Mine is attached to the rear chain guard. Thumbs Up
I took out the original bolt, and replaced it with a slightly longer one with the same thread. Just had to be sure the bolt didn't go so far thru as to touch or snag the chain Shocked

Mine's on the left pillion footpeg.

You can get those stick on thingeys as well that people put on their screens or tanks too.

I was told the tax disk holder has to be on the LHS infront of the engine - that was with the scooter tho - True? or utter BS?

Technically true, but I've never heard of anyone having any grief as long as the disk is on display.

Indeed, I carry the tax-disk in my wallet when I'm on the firt-bike (one less thing to get broken off) and haven't had a problem wioth that either

My front brake caliper is on the left side, I just removed one of the bolts, put the disk holder on and ran the bolt back into the caliper.

That worked well ^^.
