Im only 5'7'" What type of bikes could I handle comfortably? Are there many short bikers and do they manage to learn ok with riding schools and find it easy to buy a good bike?

Go and sit on some in your local dealer. Smile
That is the easiest way. Just dont get surprised by the weight of them. As dealers dont appreciate if you domino all their bikes over. Smile

Even if the bike you want is too big for you, you can have the seat lowered, or the bike lowered itself i believe. So shouldnt be a problem

Learner schools tend to use the traditional bike style to teach you on. CG125 / YBR125 are 2 popular 125cc bikes for schools.

All the bike schools I've come across have special lowered seats for really short people.

You aren't the shortest person to take their bike test by a ong, long way.

It isnt so much your height as your inside leg measurement that is important.

The width of the bike is more important than the seat height because this alters the angle you can put your foot down at.

At 5' 7" you are a full 8" taller than my friend Louise who rides a lowered ZZR600.
