Might be a thread that doesn’t go anywhere, I hope I explain it properly…..
Just wondering for all those that really LOVE music, what single track means most you, what track gave you goose bumps that first time it touched your ears and why it holds such a place in your existence. Doesn’t have to be of any genre, whether it’s dance, rock, folk….whatever, you can fall in love with an electronic track. One single track would be better, but if you have several give some reasons for it…..
I think for me it would have to be Prodigy – Breathe. It’s like this track actually gives me energy, when I hear those first notes my hairs stand on end and all good memories of my past come flooding back…..it would be my fight entry track, it would be my riding tune, it would be a tune I request on my birthday. I remember the first time I heard this and I was at a summer camp type thing, the staff were probably in their 20’s and one of the guys was a bit of a raver, they got us into the hall where the ‘disco’s’ happened and Breathe came on. This bloke obviously loved the Prodigy as much as I do now, we all stood and watched him dance to this track under strobes and lights…..I’ll never forget the power of that tune. Immense. ____________________ Cleverly disguised as a responsible adult.

Another massive fan of Prodigy here.
But I have a very strange taste in music I listen to anything. But I can take a lot of inspiration from the music I'm listening to and it helps with the writing I am doing at the moment.
At the moment I'm enjoying some of the crystal method stuff can't believe i missed most of it.
And rocking the old school blues and some jazz.
Can't beat a bit of Motown either. ____________________ ◙◙► K6 GSXR 600 ◄◙◙◙◙► K5 GSXR 1000 ◄◙◙◙◙► K5 GSXR 600 ◄◙◙◙◙► 96 RF600r ◄◙◙

It's hard to select just one track, but there is one that I can listen to over and over again, and never grow bored of it. It's Francis Monkman on the Sky 2 album, performing "Gavotte and Variations" (clip). There's something timeless about the sound of the harpsichord, almost other worldy and to think it's just one bloke playing is stunning.
There's no way I could play it all in one sitting like he does, but I will do my own version for my own pleasure. One day. ____________________ Current: CB500 Previous: CB100N, CB250RS, XJ900F, GT550, GPZ750R/1000RX, AJS M16, R100RT, Enfield Bullet

Hmmmm.
Prodigy - Smack My Bitch Up.
Had just brought the Calibra off a mate I was 17 and had just got my hands on a car with a huge engine (at the time to me) and a load of power.
Coming back on the Southam road which you can pretty much fly down the whole road. But theres a road that leads to Croperdy called Oxhey hill. You will know it if you have been down it.
Its basically a 1 1/2mile straight that has slight curves in it, enough to feel G's at stupid speed and it goes down hill then back up pretty steep. Well being pushed on by a mate who then cranked the cd up and this track Prodigy - Smack My Bitch Up was on, so fvcking to right I was going for it.
Dropped down a gear and floored it at the very top of the hill and was just nudging 140 coming back up the hill which is pretty much blind till your at the top where theres a bridge.
I Just kept it floored now that was the stupid part as when you hit the top of the hill the bridge that crosses a set of rail road tracks is just this archaic solid metal structure. Solid metal walls that are about 4/5 feet high and its pretty narrow. That two cars can just about fit.
Well I crested the hill to see a gold/tan golf mk2 (could tell by the head lights) coming straight on I had no time to react and a I pulled over as far as I could it went in slow motion just focused on the car lol.
The song was in the full flow with the chorus going " Change my pitch up, smack my bitch up "
Didn't even tap the brakes just lifted off the pedal slightly. Was going about 120mph.
I managed to miss them just enough to obliterate their drivers side mirror and fold mine in. Did I stop, did I fvck I kept going. Got to the end went left and followed that road for a few miles till I got back on the Southam road and went back for another blast on the hill. Stopped at the to to see the remains of the mirror
Now when ever I hear that song it brings on an adrenaline rush if I'm driving.
Happy now. ____________________ ◙◙► K6 GSXR 600 ◄◙◙◙◙► K5 GSXR 1000 ◄◙◙◙◙► K5 GSXR 600 ◄◙◙◙◙► 96 RF600r ◄◙◙

Probably "Another Planet" by Pendulum.
It's not even that good a tune when I listen to it now, but it still gives me a tingle because it was the soundtrack for the first night I went to a proper club - the West Indian center in Leeds, one room hard trance/psy, one room D'n'B and Jungle. We were listening to it in the car on the way and just as we got inside it was on in the D'n'B room, and in that place on that night there was such a nice vibration (it's not as good now) - people kept hugging me when I went inside, people I didn't even know, I was coming up on the pills I'd necked earlier and it was fucking fat. Spent all night in there, that tune got played several times, then at half seven in the morning we all stumbled over to some students' house and got on the decks there, met a girl there, ended up staying in Leeds till early Monday morning with her. It just reminds me of my first proper night out |

I have two - the first ones a bit mushy....
Nothing else matters, by metallica. It feels like ive kind of grown up with this song, ive been listening to it for years, and there have been instances in my life where i have really related to it, times it has made sense and helped me out.
The other one for no particular reason is another metallica tune -
wherever i may roam. I remember the first time i saw metallica live at earls court in '96, this song played live blew me away. Whenever i hear it i get taken back to my young carefree days and occasionaly a little 'woooot!@ ecsapes |

I do have a candiate , David Morales Needin U
Why?.
It reminds me of a seemingly much better time the late 1990s were very kind to Itchy and it was a time which seemed alot more carefree, happier zero cynicism. ____________________ Spain 2008France 2007Big one 2009 We all die. As above film/tv tunes can be ace, the Due South theme tune practically makes me go into a trance.

Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd
Full of memories of life and lost friends, always sends a shiver down my spine, sometimes brings a tear to my eye. Thoughful lyrics, excellent guitar, and an all round complete track, including the special "effects" fore and aft. ____________________ My claim to fame: Austin Vince nicked my pen... |
