I can't make my new avatar less than 10kb :(

Hi, I was going to try out a new avatar but I can't get the filesize small enough, and even when I change it to a .jpeg and try and minimise the quality when I go to save it, it's still too large, plus the quality of it is then complete and utter rubbish.

So I was wondering if anyone could have a go at making the file smaller but keeping the quality there or there abouts? Please don't take too much trouble though because I'm not too sure I'm going to use it yet, I just wanted to try it out but obviously can't atm.

It's already resized to 80x100, it'd be cool if that could stay the same if possible.
