Hi Guys.
Ive recently bought a Datatag kit for my bike and it came today....
Only problem is that ive bought the wrong kit Confused
The kit sent is a cycle kit not a motorcycle kit, does this make an amazing amount of difference?
The kit consists of:
4X visable ID Labels
1X DAT100 Transpoder (glass tube)
1X Datatag Adheisive
1X Registration Document
1X Datatag Warning Label
1X Return Envolope

If this kit if ok for a cycle then im sure fitting it to a motorcycle cant be much difference?
The motorcycle kit has dots instead of labels and 1 extra transponder.

Please advise!

Send it back.

You could fit it if you wanted too, but you wouldn't get money off your insurance, unless you lied of course, but that's equally dodgey.

I had my kit fitted at a dealers, think there was

1 tube of microdots in it that they use to coats bits on the bike

A bunch of datatag dots/etching labels that was put onto the panels/mirrors (like a number starting with DATXXXXXXXX but in dots)

roughly about 7 transponder might of been 5 (cant remember) but ive got some spare. These are little black disks like a sweet, and are injected into the seats or put into the tank.

2x Holographic Datatag stickers.

Dont think it would make too much of a difference but do bear in mind that the kit is to tag components of your bike, so if it is nicked and broken down into bits and then sold on, in theory if a part is recovered the police could trace it backwards. The motorcycle kit i'd assume would cover more parts of the bike.
