Suzuki Maruader rebuild

I'm rebuilding a 800 marauder and I am getting near to the point of sizing the main bearings. The book says to hone them to size. Does anyone have any tips on this? I am going to use an cylinder hone and the finest stones I can find, but this is the first time I'm honing bearings. I really don't like doing this, it seems like a bad way to have to make this fit. If I didn't read it myself I wouldn't have believed it. Shocked

be careful here if you dont have the correct measuring equipment
for checking the size.. you will run the risk of going over size and scrapping the bearings

to make sure this doesnt happen, your measuring equipment needs to have a resolution of better than 5 microns or so
not easy at home
