exhaust restricter:

its right at the back of the exhaust and you dont need to strip anything off the bike to get to it.best off using a dremmel to grind the 3 welds that hold it in place then pull it out.

it will come out using a hammer and chisel but it takes time and makes a bit of a mess Embarassed .
theres a slight difference in low down power but its more noticeable from 3rd gear on,and it pulls much better through 5th gear.sounds a bit beefier aswell...

hth

That looks like a baffle rather than a specific restricter to me.

Are you sure the bike is restricted, because as far as I was aware it made a bit under the legal power limit as it was and I don't see them intentionally restricting it to below the maximum limit.

Similarly, a lot of airboxes are restrictive, but aren't in place specifically as ways to restrict the power.

Would be interesting to see it your bike on a dyno with and without your mods.

yup it may be a baffle but its definately a bit quicker to top speed with it out.
even my mate says he had to rev a little harder than usual to keep up with me.and the fact that i got up to 74 ish on the dual carriageway against a head wind, when before i was lucky to get to 65 tells me its not my imagination Very Happy .
