Hi all,

Thought it only right to introduce myself before any serious posting.

I'm 32 and just starting to learn to ride a bike after my wife of 10 years said "why don't you get a motorbike to go to work on" Surprised

Once I'd recovered from the shock I did my CBT and bought a Yamaha XVS125 Dragstar before she could change her mind.

My only regret is that I didn't start to ride a bike sooner!

Looking to go in for my test early next year well before October!

I wonder if she'll let me have a Triumph Daytona?

You just need to explain how dangerous the 125 is with poor brakes, inefficient geomtry and not very good tyres.

The triumph has excellent brakes* and chassis with an engine that will allow you to be confident in your manoeuvres.

(*Erm, most of the time, perhaps best to keep her away from the link bendy posted recently : - S )

Welcome.

I see a plan here. First you get the 125. then you do your test and get a bigger bike and - voila! - your wife has a bike too........ Thumbs Up

(Well that's what I'd do anyway!)
