I've always been able to do the usual go at 5mph and slam the front and make the rear lift a little. Anyone can.
The other day however I accidently did what I believe is exactly what you're supposed to do when you stoppie.
What you have to do is go at a slow speed but not too slow. maybe 15-20 mph to start off with.
Start braking lightly and lay your weight on the handlebars with your body forwards and arms straight. You are already breaking a little at this point, so the suspension will have gone sunken considerably. Now is when you quickly press down the lever. The rear now rises very quickly as the suspension has already sunken in.
The first time I did this was the highest I've ever gone. It scared me, so I'm taking thinks one step at the time, until I can get really high without a drip of sweat and real straight. Then it's time to try sliding it along more.
Anyone have any pointers to add to that?

what you dont like the front of your bike? lol like kissing tarmac and getting your head smacked by the rear seat? only messing.
you need to practice the bumping movement to master it, you get a decent speed, push up on the pegs and down on the handle bars lean forward and use the brake but not too much lol, if you master that bit you'll be doing em alot and propperly. just dont be kissin the road tooo much Thumbs Up Very Happy

It's a lot easier to do rolling stoppies, by braking hard from 70ish mph, and building and building the pressure. Let the brakes do all the work.

You'd have to be an absolute nutter/suicidal to try that when you're not experienced!
