I'm motivated to buy an onboard cam and come across this site with one which looks half decent: www.3-cam.com
This is a vid with it on: (Nice lap of Donny Park)
https://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=KEzu-9siABs
Just wondering what camera's you guys use, for those that do, and how you'd rate the quality for price? Preferably I'd like a little £30 cam lol but I don't know what to expect on play back.
Anyone have any input it would be valuable . |

G,
Go into more detail my main man.
I'm looking for a full set up. Doesn't some one make one which is all a contained unit and is just like the bsb stuff. Basically its a camera and a box you fit the box under seat and it can take so many hours of hi-quality footage.
And its like £200.
I don't know maybe I dreamed of it. ____________________ ◙◙► K6 GSXR 600 ◄◙◙◙◙► K5 GSXR 1000 ◄◙◙◙◙► K5 GSXR 600 ◄◙◙◙◙► 96 RF600r ◄◙◙

I have an ATC1000 the lower ATC one and I wouldnt get one again, dont know how much better the 2000 one is but a few times ive gone to stop the video and its deleted 45mins of riding or so. Also it has a wavy picture, I would go for one of these seperate units you have mentioned, which records onto an mp4 recorder.
Here's a clip from an atc1000
Other ones I've heard of are Dogcam ____________________ Current Bike: '94 RVF 400R

Hetz thats a pretty decent piece of kit.
But in the preview vids the quality seems low as in the fps.
I'm after something for this euro tour for some good footage. ____________________ ◙◙► K6 GSXR 600 ◄◙◙◙◙► K5 GSXR 1000 ◄◙◙◙◙► K5 GSXR 600 ◄◙◙◙◙► 96 RF600r ◄◙◙

McGee, do a search, I've gone into detail plenty of times before.
As you're in the US, get a chase cam. They power the camera and have an onboard mic, so you only have one lead. Quality is pretty decent (see the TTC 'onboard with AJ Hutch' bits from the rounds Lydden an after for an example).
Comes out at around $500 or $550 for a kit I think, but well worth it - especially as they sell them in the UK for the same amount in £. While you're there, wanna get me one or two . |

Thanks for hijacking my thread McGee.
Thankyou for the help those of you, I don't want to be forking out extortianate amounts for a cam like £150+ because at the end of the day, it's just watching yourself ride, not riding so I don't think those kind of figures justify the pice/gain factor.
I might just do what most do and get a high quality phone for xmas and record via that and upload to youtube or something, attached via Gaffa tape on my lid, obviously
Thanks again. |

In that kind of price range, a digilife is worth looking at.
While it's harder to mount the quality of the recording is better. Unfortunately the CCD isn't that great, but I found it too much hassle to use an external camera with mine (which you can with some.)
There's some footage posted by korn in the off road section if you search for it - though it was quite dark at the time.
Something like this. |

Thanks G, good link, don't know where I'd fit that thing though initiative will have to come into practice there.
Something like that for just a £100 smackers, will it pick up alot of air noise (will taped foam aorund it lessen it a bit?) and how wouldit take bumps, Im a n00b with things like that lol.
Hop the CCD isnt that much of a problem but that does look tempting |

I'm considering getting a cam too. I've just put "motorcycle camera" into eBay and found this.
Anyone else tried one of these ? Looks okay, but then stuff on eBay always does until you get it! ____________________ Current: ZZR1400
