I'm considering it as my next bike - the main reason being, it it is one of the few bikes that clocks in at just under the 33bhp limit which I am currently restricted to.

Not much more to say, really. It's a 4 stroke single cylinder, supposedly über reliable. That one sounds excellent, over here in spain all I can find is '89s with over 100k km... those are selling for 1500 euros, so for 2000 you should be able to get something nice, provided the offer is there.

Not sure about top speed. The clocks go up to 180(kmh), so around 150?

Neat thumper, good both on/off road. Runs to 45k if well serviced; cams and valves go first. Later models restricted to 17bhp, but simple to derestrict. Many ended up well knackered from off-road excesses - frame quite easy to bend, check for buckled wheels, blown suspension units, etc. Starting can be difficult. Rear linkage and exhaust go.

Friend of mine had one for a little while. The only thing i remember is that it had a kickstart, it was a total bitch to get it started, and was quite happy to have a go at breaking your leg with the kickback.

I think the later ones may have had electric start, which would be a very good thing...
