Oopsie. Apparently 27hp and a sticking throttle isn't good.

12'd the DR trying to make progress out of junction when the throttle hung open on me. I'm used to the front coming up, just usually roll out of it and ride it through 2nd. Rolled out of it and nothing happened, by then the bars were attempting to nut me in the chin, the tail was tagging the ground and she was past the point of no return. Last thing I did was hit the kill switch and bail.

Don't know why I didn't hit the back brake or pull the clutch in, guess it just happened too quick. It was early morning and I've got a head cold so i'm a bit slow and woozy at the moment. Not to mention my balance was all to cock. I blame work for sending me out to get sugar. I'm a grease monkey, not an errand monkey.

I landed squarely on my ass in the sitting position, so I've got a sore and bruised ass/coxix/lower back (sp) and a lump and a chunk out of my elbow. I worked the rest of the day though, so it can't be that bad. The bike's fine, needs a new number plate, indicator, a tail lamp bulb that I've already replaced (lense survived Shocked ), bent the gear lever back using the oxycetalene at work and she's good to go. Not even any more scratches.

The throttle hung open because the throttle cable is frayed. It's a pretty bad way to find out though Laughing A new set of throttle cables is on order down at t'garage so she should be right as rain as soon as they get put on.

Lol, that's at the rear wheel. Fear the mighty DR.

It's a reasonable amount when it's shoved into a 20 mph first gear. Obviously enough to flip the bastard.
