Retro bike clothing

I ride old bikes and i love to wear retro biking gear. This weekend I was wearing Tweeds and a pudding basin hat as I was out on the 1930. I also have 60s rocker black studed leathers, 60s and 70s Motocross gear and WW2 dispatch riders kit.
Wearing this type of clothing is fun but it does make you look a twat.
Please remember that old biking clothes make you look a plonker. also remember that the clothing that you buy today will be old in 20 years time. If we investigate these two statements it is obvious that your gear is actually very silly and one day people will laugh at it.

And surely you've seen modern leathers? Most of them make you look like a plonker *today* . I'm sure I've had all sorts of amusement directed at me wearing large bright white and orange leathers on a bike that doesn't have a hint of orange. (Thinking road bike, they did match the race bikes.)

LOL British Standard Cycle is a 26tpi pitch as you well know! I hate buggers that pick holes in bikes like that, they are in general the ones with their bike on a trailer and do only a few 100 miles per annum.
I am a tobacco addict ( not smoked for four years now) and dare not even think about putting any king of smoking paraphernalia in my hand never mind my mouth but I would like a pipe to poke people with.
