Looks like one of those cutaways that you see in museums.

My money's on a really, really fast lowside on the one side, maybe then hitting a kerb or summat and ripping off the side fairings.

Right hand bend, highsided throwing th rider off, slamming the bike over onto its LH side would be my guess.

Low sides scratch, scrape and batter things,
High sides smash stuff.

Unless it lowsided into something i guess.

Come on. It's a Ducati. He obviously went for a ride out. About ten miles out it started with a light drizzle so he immediately turned round. By the time he got home, that's what had happened.

With that much damage (look how half the tank is missing!) I'd be willing to bet the same.

Well it's for Blacks Bike Shop in Liverpool, and someone binned a 1098 HARD at Oulton Park not too long ago when my mates were on a trackday there... I imagine it's the same bike... Not many around

Nah, a 98 R1 got jealous of how sexy the young, virgin duke looked, gave it a stare and the 1098 succumbed to the outright menacing omnipotent presence of the duke and did a hara-kiri on itself.

Couple of cable ties and a bit of gaffer tape and it'll be allright to ride - the rest should just polish out.
