I'll have my full licence by the end of this year, cause in january they're imposing a new licence here in spain. It's gonna be up to 400cc, and to get the full licence you'll need to either get the new one for 2 years, or wait til the age of 24!! Shocked
So i'm getting mine before the new licence cause they can't take it wasy from me.
I've narrowed it down to one of these 3 bikes.
From what I've understoon they are very similar in power?
The z750 is the one I really want, and then the gsr, then the hornet. But looking around I'm realising the hornet is sooooo much cheaper, and there are a lot more of them for sale second hand.
I've been told the Fz6 is sluggish and generally a shit bike, so that's out of the picture.
I've found hornets from 1999-2001 for like 2000-2500£. Would 30-40k miles be considered a lot for a hornet? I'm basically on a strict budget.
Looking at the spanish market I can sell my bike easily for 2500 euro. (1700£) I'll put it up for 3000 euro negotiable. I have 1000 euro saved up. After getting th licence and selling my bike I'll have between 3000 and 3500 euro. The cheapest gsrs around are like 5000 euro... Scraping 1000 euro from my ass is really not an option...
Any opinions?

The hornet is pretty well liked, and alot of people on here have them.

Definately won't be dissapointed. Hornets look great and are great. I've had mine since Feb but riding it since March and I've had nothing but fun on this bike. Absolutely stunning and a rela screamer at 10k+ revs Cool

If you do get a Hornet you have to get a blue one as they are faster. It's the special paint that is more aerodynamic and has less resistance. Whistle

Lucky for me I will be getting a blue one if I get one!! Did you hear about transparent rimtape (cellatape)?
If you put it on your rims it makes them lighter! Gains you at least 30 mph top speed and 3 seconds faster to 60 mph!

What?! Shocked OMG seriously? How much is it? It has to be a special one and not just any right?

Also, you have to get rid fo the OE mirrors as they are fuck ugly and really bad for aerodynamics Laughing

I just read that the 2000 hornet has quite a few upgrades from the 1999 model. Braided hoses, bigger and narrower front wheel, better brake pads etc..

Ive owned a 600 bandit, a buell and now have a 900 Hornet, and its the sweetest bike Ive ever had, Ive had plenty of mates thatve had 600 hornets and theyve all liked them. Only down side is the tiny fuel range on the 600. So just remember to fill up

Yeah the tank usually goes up to about 90miles until reserve and then you roughly have about 20 miles. But it's all good. Having a biger tank would only make it heavier and less fuel efficient then it already is.
