I think they must be different my Halfords charger has two switches one which toggles between "bike" and "car", and the second which toggles between "sealed" and "standard" I notice that the Oxford Optimiser also has a different settings (3 actually) one for car, one for bike, and one for leisure batteries. I'd check out the charger was capable of charging a bike battery before I hooked it up.
EDIT: actually it's the Oxford Maximiser, Optimiser is Hein Gericke's version, looks like the mA rates are different: 600mA for bikes, 3600mA for cars. ____________________ My claim to fame: Austin Vince nicked my pen... |
