Might be my next bike!! Thumbs Up Will have to wait & see what the specs are.

They reckon it's gonna have a low seat height, lightweight. Most likely pi$$ all over the CBR125R in terms of performance, but will also have to wait & see what the reliability will be like.

check this and this out

I hope this might mark the renaissance of decent lower cc bikes. The gap between 125 and 5/600 is way too big and there currently is very little new choice in between.

I just hope people buy it. I suppose the manufacturers are in a bit of a tough position as most people who might want such a bike are young and probably skint, meaning they're not that likely to buy a new bike. It certainly needs pricing keenly if it's to sell at all.

Yeah, I think the price is likely to be the make-or-break on a bike like this. I like the Honda CBF250 but there's no way it's worth £3.5k when a CG125 only costs £2k.

Having said that I won't be buying one so what I think is a bit academic really!

Deffo should have based the looks on the ZX6 instead of the ER6.

It looks pretty good but the bars look quite high up for a sports bike. The video too suggests that it's being targetted as a town commuter.

I like it, Nice to see kawasaki are giving it a traditional style exhaust and not one these ugly fucking things that have been on recent bikes.

Perfect learner capacity then.. If it was out a couple of years back I might have bought a used one.

Ditto what ncrn said... I would have loved one before, but now I have the GPZ I won't be wanting to go to a 250, my next bike will be a ZX6R!

I think this 250 would also look better with some lower bars.

I dont know how they can get away with calling it a sportsbike.
Its pretty much a 250cc ER-6 with the word Ninja slapped on it.

My opinion is that it does look good, but it seems like it's based around an ER5 and had some fairing slapped on.

If I didn't have a VFR400 i would consider getting one, but I'm not.

Noice, I like the looks of that. I'd be very tempted after passing my test if the price was right.

Pity it doesn't have the front off the ZX6 though

Reckon I might have to trade in my CBR125R for a Kwaki Ninja 250R in black! Smile

Gonna go to the London Motorcycle Show and hopefully get to sit on one, see how big or small it actually is.

Might look ok in pics, but might be fulgy up close. Might just wait till 2009 when Honda release altogether new bike (hopefully) Maybe they'll release something to compete with the Kwak. A 250? A 400?? We'll see.

What the hell is it? The two front downpipes at the front would suggest a parallel twin? Bit strange to have a 250cc twin in this day and age I would have thought. Perhaps make sense though, so you aren't wringing it's neck all the time.

If it gets people into biking I'm all for things like this. With 30hp though it's not going to set any tyres on fire, even if it looks the part. Looks better in green as well, and with a motogp style can on instead of usual euro 3 heavy metal, should be a decent prospect for new/young riders.

I think I'm mostly sad because it looks so small I'd need one for each arse cheek Embarassed

Well, just looking on a Kwak website it says RRP $3499. So half that is £1750, but things are always cheaper in the states. Maybe about £2k?

https://www.kawasaki.com/Products/detail.aspx?id=263&content=photos

Looks like an ace bike and defintely more bikes like this are needed to fill the gap for 33bhp restriction. If Kwak get this right then they could be on to a big winner.

Shame they didnt stick a 4 cylinder in there though.

Well a brand new CBR125R is £2.6k according to the Honda site price guide, so I doubt this would be sub £3k, knowing how in UK we pay more than our friends over the pond I'd say we'll be lucky to see this sub £3.5k Sad

Having said that afaik the CBR125 goes for $3000 in USA/Canada afaik , so maybe we will see the this at £3k here in UK!

But it still leaves a UK release date unknown Sad]

LATE EDIT:

Right, looking at the USA Kawasaki site shows 4 colours: Ninja Green, Red, Black (Ebony - stupid name imo), Blue

UK site only shows 2 so far, the Green and the "Ebony", anyone know if this means we aren't going to get the Blue & Red in UK? Because I think the Blue looks the best on this bike (the green needs some white to make it better, and the all black is a bit bland)
