I only use Tagan psu's after having a couple of enermax units die on me. Not cheap but ive had one on near full load 24/7 for nigh on 2 years now and its cool, quiet and stable.

I had an OCZ 600 watt StealthXstream that had a faulty fan controller. Sent it to OCZ and they upgraded me to an 850 watt GameXstream PSU. Not bad. Laughing

For an 8800 I would say a 600watt or higher is needed as they sap power like no other graphics card. Worth getting a decent branded one as the cheap ones are often noisy and the voltages are often lower than claimed. ie a decent 600watt will be better than a cheapo 800watt psu.

The Corsair 620 scored extremely well in the last comparison test I read, as did the PC Power and Cooling 610, which I believe has the same internals. Tested and functioning on a quad core AMD rig with twin 8800GTX cards using a variety of high stress situations. I plan on purchasing the former as soon as it goes on sale again at Newegg.

If this is the wattage range you're interested in, these are the best units available. All you have to do is decide between the 620's semi-modular design (most of the cables can be removed when not in use) with a bottom mounted fan, and the 610's rear mounted fan and standard cabling.
