Has anyone used header wrap on their bikes header?

I just got my CB750 the other day. Riding in to work yesterday, it felt about like my right boot was going to melt off it was so hot. Has anyone ever wrapped their headers with fiberglass header wrap? I found a pic of a bike that had it and it looks pretty cool. Plus it seems like it would help cut down on heat.

But helps to rot your pipe away , it holds water, don't bother mate.

Of course I'd spray it with high temp paint before hand, to prevent rust.

i wouldnt bother to be honest, i use it to stop my link pipe and ned can from blowing. its great for that, but wrapping your exhaust with it looks weird. i know thats what it was intended for but its like mummyfiying your downpipes lol Very Happy
