Do you know what time you're going and how many of you there are?...
I don't want to turn up and find out that all the for-hire minimoto's are being used for the next hour or something Confused Smile

Ah, 8 shouldn't be a problem... I'd have been worried if there was thirty of you, or something Smile

Laughing how many bikes have they got then? I don't think anyone's been before so we'll probably be all over the place to start with. Some haven't ridden powered bikes before so might be a few mobile chicanes to contend with Smile

About 10 maybe... but as it's only for 10 minute sessions, there should be plenty to go around.

I'm not sure how much of big-bike riding can be transferred, though Alex and I (who have both been riding bikes on and off for 5 years or so) did sseem to be doing abit better than the others... whether that's due to getting better 'lines' or being able to tell when the tyre's about to lose traction etc I don't know.

The first 5 laps or so everyone *will* wobble around Smile.

Aye, they'll certainly be a few little pile-ups now and again Smile Experienced riders will probably start off a little more cautiously, and therefore have fewer spills, but n00bs (like me) will probably try to attack every bend, lock up the wheels, and slide into the tyre walls Razz

At some point I'll stick up a 'sticky' faq about what to take etc.

Normal jeans (preferably old ones you don't mind getting a bit knackered Smile) and a bike jacket should be fine.
Some toughish boots but not *too* inflexible (remembering the angle your feet have to be at), if not some old trainiers.

yes, though when you spill, and you will Smile, you get tarmac marks on everything you are wearing, so dont wear your decent trainers, or jeans you like, or leathers you value the look of Smile

and

not to put a dampener on things, pardon the pun, but the weather is looking really rather shite, so im not sure at the mo, cos its a long motorway trip to G's at it is, and then on to swindon, we are likely to get rather wet, unless in full waterproof gear

not definate yes, nor definate no for me yet

/me idles

If I'd known you were all going tonight I'd have come, but I've been away from the forum for a few weeks (again!), so I didn't know.
Hopefully we will be able to make the next one, and anyone who wants to crash (bad choice of words?) at our place is more than welcome as we have beds and beer, and we only live 15 miles away!
