killed the CG gearbox

Well almost, IT goes up fine but is hesitant in going down through the box, and dropping it into 1st with the engine running is not possible, takes about 5 minutes of rolling back and forward stomping on the lever.

Could this be due to a slack drive chain?

the clutch is set fine.

Check your clutch, plates might be sticking or warped

maybe try adjusting your clutch

is there a barrel adjuster on near the clutch lever ?

unscrew it to make the sleeve round the wire longer, making the cable inside relatively shorter

Verdict from local mechanic = broken return spring / bent /snapped selector. thats 2 and a half engines to strip tomorrow
